My Friend’s Hostel is the project of Manish Kurmi, an ambitious and smart businessman from the lower regions of Nepal who dreamed of realizing his dream in Kathmandu. Due to the 2020 pandemic, Manish had to close the hostel in Kathmandu and find an alternative solution.
After a few years, he finally came back to his hometown, Bharatpur, to reopen his beloved hostel.
Manish loves to travel and explore and whenever that is not possible he is eager to meet travelers who visit Nepal and introduce them to the local culture. Through the platform Couchsurfing he discovered his passion for hosting travelers, with which the idea was born to open My Friend’s Hostel back in 2018.
During 2024, with the help of volunteers everything was cleaned, painted, furniture was constructed and decorational elements created. It slowly started to look like how it does now and we are ready to host you!
